  • Statement on the US House OH-8 District race

Jim Condit Jr., who is using the Green Party Of Ohio's ballot line for a run for the 8th Ohio Congressional District, is within his legal means to use the Green Party’s ballot line. He gathered the necessary signatures and is appearing on the ballot. The Green Party of Ohio State Central Committee wants our supporters to know that his on-line and in-person statements reveal that not only does he not support the Green Party’s 10 Key Values, but that he also supports positions that are in direct contradiction to those values. The Ohio Green Party has disavowed Mr Condit. He does not have our endorsement nor support. We ask our members and supporters to refrain from casting a vote for him.

  • Supporters of Senator Sanders: What’s Your Plan B?

On March 15th, the State of Ohio will be holding primary elections for all three accredited political parties.   The Green Party of Ohio is the only alternative party that holds a current ballot line in the state.   By the time the Ohio Primary comes around, several other states will have already held primaries or caucuses to determine the eventual Democratic nominee.   The expectation is that the nominee will be Secretary Clinton.  As of this morning (3-2-16), thanks to Super Tuesday victories in 7 states, Ms. Clinton has a delegate count of 1055, compared to Senator Sanders at 418. • Green Party: Congress must kill President Obama's Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal

WASHINGTON, D.C. (2-17-16) -- Green Party leaders and candidates called on Congress to vote down the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), which poses a grave threat to democratically enacted environmental, labor, public-health, and other legal protections.

The trade deal was formally signed by the U.S. and eleven other countries on Feb. 3 but must be ratified by the signatory nations domestically within the next two years to take effect. In the U.S., the TPP must be confirmed by Congress.

  • Ohio Green Party joins call for resignation of Cuyahoga County Prosecutor and changes to Prosecutors office

Cleveland, OH - (1-5-16)  The Ohio Green Party and the Cuyahoga County Green Party today have joined the call of activists for the resignation of Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty.

The recent acquittal of the officers involved in the death of 12 year old Tamir Rice, who was killed within seconds of officers arrival on scene in November of 2014, is a travesty of justice.   Mr. McGinty has failed in his role as County Prosecutor and the entire Grand Jury process was suspect from the beginning.
