Are you interested in helping to promote Green Party Values in The Buckeye State? We have several races this year, including races for the US Congress, and various Statehouse races as well as The gubernatorial race. Your vote in November will help to spread our message and let Ohioans know that there is an alternative to the corporate-funded and dominated parties. You can also help out by donating the Green Party of Ohio at http://ohiogreens.org/donate. We will need a steady flow of monies to help us in our efforts to make a difference in the lives of all Ohioans.
Getting half a dozen Green Party petition signatures will do more to make a Green future happen than signing 1,000 online petitions or writing a hundred letters to Republican or Democrat legislators, begging them to do the right thing.
Please be the person that organizes your county's county wide meeting in the next few weeks. Pull your fellow Greens together and let's overthrow the two party system, together. It's time for our decentralized forces to coordinate for a time. Let's outflank those Romans, get our Greens on the ballot and create a new political reality in Ohio.
Also, please consider running or recruiting people in your area to run for office. It only takes 25 signatures to run for many offices, and there is still time to gather the signatures needed at this point to increase the number of candidates. The more candidates we have around the State, the more local campaigns we will have for the Green Party, the more growth we will see and the more support we will have for the Governor's race.
Dear Ohio Greens,
Regardless of the outcome of 2018 Mid-Term election we want to say how proud we are of the campaign that Connie Gadell-Newton and Brett Joseph have waged. We are equally proud of all the Ohio Green candidates who ran campaigns with very limited resources, and of the dozens of dedicated creative volunteers who stepped up to help us maintain ballot status!
We feel honored to be among you in this fight to put the tools of power into the hands of the people. It is our belief that all the issues that we care about from democracy and voter access, to the environment and climate change, to the reform of our education and criminal justice systems, to health care as a human right are strengthened by our efforts. Although we have not YET been able to show what Greens elected to office in Ohio can do, each time we conduct a campaign we build momentum for the issues, we link with like minded activists, and we bring to light information that is often hidden or ignored.
