Ohio Green Party Demands Action on Toxic Soil in East Palestine

Emergency Administrative Procedure Act (APA) Petition to Warn Residents in and Around East Palestine Not to Eat from Their Gardens Due to Dioxin and Other Chemical Contamination

July 30th, 2024 – On National Whistleblowers Day, we stand with Scott Smith and the Government Accountability Project in exposing the truth about toxic soil in East Palestine, Ohio. Despite alarming levels of dioxins and other chemicals, the EPA has failed to warn residents of the dangers of consuming homegrown produce.

The Ohio Green Party demands that the EPA take immediate action to protect the health and safety of East Palestine residents. We call for comprehensive testing, remediation measures, and public warnings to prevent further harm.

“It’s unconscionable that the EPA has ignored the risks of toxic soil in East Palestine,” said Philena Farley, Ohio Green Party Co-Chair. “We stand with whistleblowers like Scott Smith who are fighting for truth and accountability. It’s time for the EPA to put people over profits and ensure a safe environment for all.”

Join us in demanding action from the EPA. Together, we can create a safer, more just future for Ohioans.
