WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Green Party of the United States has identified “Green Candidates to Watch” in races for statewide office and state legislature across the U.S. on Election Day, Nov. 8, 2016.
Green presidential nominee Jill Stein and running mate Ajamu Baraka are using their national campaign to promote state and local Green candidates.
“We are a serious political party, running at all levels to build a new political force that will serve people and not big money donors,” said Dr. Stein in a published statement (“Stein Urges Support for over 250 Green Party Candidates,”).
The Green Party published of list of Green candidates to watch who are running for local office. The party will publish a list of Green candidates to watch in races for the U.S. House and Senate in an upcoming release.

The list includes Green candidates who are running energetic, well publicized, and well organized campaigns for local office across the U.S. In some cases, the candidates have a strong chance of winning on Nov. 8.
